Pray for Michael

After his first ever root canal last Wednesday afternoon Michael was healing pretty well. It was sore and slow but things were getting better, then all of a sudden yesterday afternoon some horrible pains hit him and he pulled over in the car and I drove the rest of the way home. The pain was so bad he was getting sick to his stomache. I called the dentist and they never called back. So I called the endodontist and finally he called back. The vicodin they gave him for pain makes him really nauseous so he couldn't take it. The dentist told him to take some anyway (???) and call in the morning for an appointment. Instead he took one of my pain pills that doesn't make him sick and he has an appointment today at 2:30. They suspect another tooth is upset now and might need a root canal. Ugh. I hope he doesn't have to have another one. It's so awful.

Of course, for reasons unknown to us, Mazen decided to cry until she threw up last night at bedtime. She's been going down so well. Not sure what got her so upset last night. So it was another clean up and put her back to bed. Ugh. I hope she's okay. She's kind of gotten into a routine of wanting us to put her in bed with us since her teeth have been bothering her. It's going to be a tough transition again. She's so restless at night, rolling and kicking, and crying. It keeps us both up.

I just found out from Michael that a couple of students I haven't seen in a while will be visiting us tomorrow. I know they will be in town for a few days and I am so excited to see them. (I hesitate to put there names up on this website because I don't know who they told they will be here or if they want it broadcast at all. :)

Not much else is new... except that I've been reading a really good book called "The Assignment" by Mark Andrew Olson. It's a REALLY good book. One of the best books I've read by a Christian author in a while. I think he's a really good writer and this story is REALLY good. If anyone's looking for a good read... enjoy. It's kind of like John Grisham meets "This Present Darkness"

I will pray for your hubby and Mazen... do you know what is wrong yet?
I may have to check that book out... hmmmm, right now I am reading like a billion books.
"The Ragamuffin Gospel" by Brennan Manning is what I am trying to focus on. I am also reading the first Harry Potter book. And I just bought 2 books online that I LOVE!!! "Creepy Susie and Thirteen Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children" by Angus Oblong (recommended by a professor) and then I also bought "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories" by Tim Burton. Haha they are great!
