Mazen

Today Mazen was at home with Daddy. Apparently she decided she wanted to go outside. She had her Carazoo shoes on from Sarah that are like pink moccasins. She's only gone outside a few times since Spring just hit. (Well, sort of, it actually SNOWED yesterday... sigh.)

Michael said that she went to her bedroom and then ran back to the living room and handed him one of her tennis shoes (the ones we make her wear outside). Then she ran back to her room and go the other one and ran to him with it. So he asked her if she wanted to go outside. She climbed up on his lap and he put her shoes on her.

Then she took him by the hand and led him to the back door where she promptly picked up one of his "outdoor" shoes and handed it to him for him to put on. Then she handed him the other one. Then they bundled up and went outside for a little while.

Mazen has a few words in her vocabulary, but she doesn't use them very much. She communicates more in this mode and it just cracks us up. She's always grabbing our hands and placing them somewhere she wants us to do something. But this is the first time she's used an object to communicate what she wants.

What a fun baby!

Love the story of Mazen and her shoes. It is so cute to watch babies communicate. Breanna does the same thing. She comes to me and says, "shoes on?" as she hands me her shoes. When her shoes are on then she points to my shoes and says "shoes on!" demanding me to hurry up so we can go outside! I can't wait for the two of them to get together!
